Swahili 101 / kiSwahili 101 is a channel for those wanting to learn conversational Swahili. If you read comments within this channel long enough you will find that quite a few people have actually taken these lessons and put them to use on their visit to East Africa where Swahili is spoken. Places like Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia etc.
I am not a professional, you will find people who are learning using other widely used 'professional courses' and professional tools also coming here and looking for explanation, you can join in. All I am doing is sharing and it's free! Have fun and enjoy. Feel free to ask questions (after looking at relevant video and comments). Most questions have been asked by others before. So you may find answers within the comments other leave. Some questions were answered by Swahili Professionals or people currently living in Swahili speaking countries.

To tackle the price question, we address 4 common ways used 1. Bei gani = which price/ what’s the price 2. Kiasi gani = how much (numbers and quantity of measure) 3. Dola ngapi = How many Dollars 4. Shilingi ngapi = How many Shillings Hii taa ni bei gani? = How much is this light? Hii taa ni kiasi gani? = How much is this light? Hii taa ni shilingi ngapi? = how many shillings is this light? Hii taa ni dola ngapi? = how many dollars is this light Notice the word “ni” added in written form. It may be ignored in speech
